Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision grounded in ethical practice

Clinical Supervision for Counsellors/Therapists

Clinical supervision is a fundamental requirement for ethical and effective counselling practice. In line with BACP professional guidance, counsellors are expected to engage in a minimum of 1.5 hours of supervision per month, depending on their client load and way of working.

I currently offer one-to-one clinical supervision for qualified counsellors, providing a reflective, supportive and collaborative space to explore client work, ethical considerations and the impact of the work on you as a practitioner.

My approach to supervision is relational and trauma-informed, grounded in compassion, curiosity and professional responsibility. I aim to offer a space where you can think openly, reflect deeply and feel supported in both your clinical decision-making and your professional development.

How Supervision with Me Works

While ethical guidance often refers to 90 minutes of supervision per month, I recognise that flexibility can be important. I currently offer supervision in the following formats:

  • 90-minute sessions
  • 60-minute sessions
  • 45-minute sessions

This allows supervision to be shaped around your needs, workload and circumstances, while still maintaining ethical standards of practice.

Supervision sessions may include:

  • Reflection on client work and therapeutic process
  • Exploration of ethical dilemmas and professional responsibility
  • Attention to relational dynamics, boundaries and self-awareness
  • Support with sustainability, wellbeing and the emotional impact of the work

One-to-One Supervision

Individual clinical supervision for qualified counsellors in private practice or organisational settings.

Flexible Session Options

Models of Supervision I Use

My supervision practice is integrative and relational, with Hawkins & Shohet’s Seven-Eyed Model at its core. This approach supports reflective exploration of client work, the therapeutic relationship, the counsellor’s internal experience and the wider systems involved. It is particularly helpful when working with complex, emotionally demanding or stuck clinical material.

I also integrate Inskipp & Proctor’s Functional Model, alongside cyclical and developmental models of supervision, to ensure supervision remains ethical, balanced and responsive. This allows space for emotional support, skill development and professional accountability, while adapting supervision to your experience, context and stage of practice.

Fees & availability

As I am currently completing my clinical supervision training, my supervision offering is limited and flexible at this stage. I hope to be fully Qualified by late August 2026.

Fees are discussed on an individual basis and reflect my current training status, availability and the format of supervision offered. In some circumstances, reduced-fee or no-fee supervision may be available, particularly where this supports ethical practice and accessibility.

Once fully qualified, supervision will be offered at a standard fee. I am also mindful of the ongoing cost of living pressures within the profession, and it is my intention to introduce group supervision in the future as a more accessible option, while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.

Availability is limited, and supervision is currently offered one-to-one only, subject to suitability and capacity.

Get in touch

If you are a qualified counsellor and would like to explore supervision, please get in touch to discuss your needs, session options and availability. I am currently offering one-to-one supervision and can provide guidance on what may suit your practice.

I offer supervision to counsellors with a recognised professional membership. While I usually work with BACP-registered practitioners, I am happy to discuss supervision with counsellors from other recognised professional bodies if we feel we can work together.

Availability is currently limited, and supervision is offered in flexible session lengths (90, 60 or 45 minutes), online or in person, in line with ethical guidance and reflective practice.
